Letter to an old friend

Dear,
One thing I appreciate about us:
we understand the importance of validating
not the completion of an aspiration but
the aspiration itself.
Just thinking about doing something
takes so much effort, after all.

p.s. I thought about iambic pentameter and all that real poetry writing stuff even if I didn't employ any of it. And so, that's enough, right?
